The Faraday Future FF 91 EV launched with a price tag of $309,000
Faraday Future has officially launched its long-delayed FF 91 electric cars, including a limited edition called the Future Alliance with a price tag of $309,000. As Autoblog points out, it’s more expensive than the $249,000 Lucid Air Sapphire, a “high-performance” electric car with similar specs. The company’s FF 91 2.0 Futurist will retail for the same price as the Air Sapphire at $249,000, while the base model FF 91 2.0, which is expected to be the most affordable of the three, has no price yet.
Both the FF91 2.0 Futurist Alliance and Futurist models have three electric motors and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 2.27 seconds. The 1,050-horsepower vehicle can go up to 155 mph, and its 142 kWh battery pack has a range of nearly 381 miles, which is shorter than the Tesla Model S but longer than the Model Y. Both are Both feature the same “zero gravity” seats with a large recline angle for comfort to guarantee, as well as a 27-inch passenger rear screen.
However, the automaker will only make 300 Futurist Alliance EVs, which will feature an exclusive wheel design and will be available in gloss silver, matte silver and matte black. Futurist Alliance owners also receive exclusive vocational training and an Apple Watch loaded with the automaker’s Vehicle Control features. In addition, the first 91 owners will receive a high-speed Internet satellite communication package with the purchase.
In addition to announcing pricing for the two models, Faraday Future also unveiled the FF aiHypercar+, a “mobility ecosystem product” whose description is a bit vague so far. According to Autoblog, the subscription service gives customers access to some form of AI assistant customization and vehicle maintenance. The first 2,000 users in the US and China will pay $14,900 per year, so everyone else has to be prepared to pay more.
Pre-orders for the FF91 2.0 Futurist Alliance and Futurist models are now open for interested buyers in the US and China with a deposit of $5,000 and $1,500 respectively. They don’t have a shipping date yet, but Faraday Future says its three-phase shipping plan will begin on May 31st. The company is holding an event in June for a group of clients it calls “Industry Experts FPO(s)”. 6th, after which they have the opportunity to checkout and have their first units delivered.
